Here is a picture of the sign with a disclaimer that school officials had put up on Thursday in response to the negative news coverage about the Rebel flag:
Following a tip from a friend of mine, I went to Turco Field today and found that this sign has now been vandalized and knocked down. The sign is now on the ground and the front has been painted black along with the words “F*** You” written on it. You can see the sign on the ground in this picture:

I would like to congratulate whoever did this for taking the Rebel issue one step further. Why would you vandalize public property like this? We could have had a peaceful debate, but instead this is what you resort to? You should be ashamed of yourself.
These people could have kept the sign as it was and the flag as it was, and resisted calls for the flag to be taken down. But, they preferred instead to vandalize public property to keep their disgusting flag up.
It might send a strong message to them if the Walpole Police Department launched a criminal investigation into this vandalism.
