Throughout my own research of local history, I have found a substantial amount of information at the Walpole Public Library, with the help of Walpole Library Reference Librarian Warren Smith.  When starting any local history project, I highly recommend taking advantage of Mr. Smith and the resources at the library.  Go to the library reference department website for more information.
