The Sam Obar Show was a weekly political talk show hosted by Sam Obar on WDIS AM 1170 Discussion Radio, Norfolk, Mass., between June 2008 and June 2011. During its three years on the air, it featured interviews with major politicians such as Rep. Barney Frank, Sen. Scott Brown, former State Treasurer Tim Cahill, former Governor and Ambassador Paul Cellucci, and others. Obar's broadcasts reached a substantial portion of both Massachusetts and Rhode Island and reached listeners throughout the rest of the world through the web. In 2010, Obar moderated a political debate between Congressman Barney Frank and his Republican opponent Sean Bielat. The show has also been featured in news articles in The Walpole Hometown Weekly and The Boston Globe.
